A shocking story scrutinizing the despair of a foolish man who has bumbled through life.

Ikuo, a 40 years-old guy who is in reduced circumstances with gambling addiction, decides to move to his partner, Ayumi’s hometown with her and her 16 years old daughter from the former marriage. In Sanriku, an area in Tohoku where it is still recovering from critical damage by earthquake and tsunami, three of them start a new life living with Ayumi’s father, who used to be a fisherman, and is diagnosed as stage IV cancer. Their days first seemed to get on well but when Ikuo is involved in gambling again, Ayumi cannot help accusing him. Soon, their fight leads to an unexpected tragedy… A story of people who struggle to recover from the pain and their loss.
